Wanted to share an article I read when I first started this film.  It was written by E.L. Katz about his film Cheap Thrills and it described his experience directing his first film.  It was a huge help for me personally and I completely agree with everything he states in this article.

Also watched the film 78/52 about the shower scene in Psycho and there's a great quote by David Fincher (I'm paraphrasing) but he states "A director's job is to take moments that take a long time and make them short, and take moments that are short and make them long."

He's exactly right.  Compressing and expanding time is what filmmaking, editing in particular, is about.
